*Snoop Dogg served up a memorable performance at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony on August 11.
The hip-hop star delivered his hit “Drop It Like It’s Hot” from Los Angeles, where he was joined by Dr. Dre for a performance of “The Next Episode.” The closing ceremony took place at Paris’ Stade de France, where many Olympic events were held.
Snoop was a “special correspondent” for NBC Olympics coverage. He also took part in the opening ceremony on July 26, and at one point carried the Olympic torch ahead of the event.
The rapper reunited with Martha Stewart during the games at a dressage event on August 3 and shared a heartwarming moment with tennis legend Billie Jean King, who posted a selfie with Snoop on X.
“Met the incomparable @SnoopDogg,” King wrote in her July 29 post, TODAY reports. “Both of us were born and raised in Long Beach, California, and graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School. LBC forever in our hearts.”

Rumor has it that Snoop Dogg was paid $500k a day plus expenses to serve as a “special correspondent” covering the Olympics in France.
“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world,” wrote Venture capitalist Henry L. McNamara on social media, Complex reports.
Sports business reporter Darren Rovell quote-tweeted the post, writing, “Sounds about right. Someone asked me how much Snoop was making.” He added, “First number that came to mind was $10 million.”
The 2024 Summer Olympics lasted for 16 days, suggesting Snoop’s total earnings reached $8 million. However, this figure has not been officially confirmed.
“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop Dogg said previously in a statement.
