*R&B singer Shanice hit up social media on Sept. 8 to reveal that she underwent a double mastectomy three months ago.
The wife and mother of two explained in an Instagram post that she “had a stage one one centimeter tumor in my breast.. Thank God I caught it early… I wasn’t ready to talk about it then but I’m strong enough to talk about it now,” she wrote.
“Please everyone get checked,” Shanice added.
“Thank you @yahsherbalistjharrellsims for helping me with your herbs @drleehealthtalk thank you for helping me get through this journey.. Thank you to all my prayer warriors for keeping me lifted up in prayer.. Thank you @phildfish for sharing your moms testimony.. Thank you to my friends and family for your support and prayers.”
Shaunice went on to thank her husband, actor Flex Alexander, for “helping me get through the hardest time of my life.. You helped me every day with my drains and cooked all my meals.. I love you,” she added. “I am healed and restored in Jesus name.”

In the post’s comments, Alexander wrote, “You handled it like a warrior babe!! I’m glad now you’re telling your story!! You are my hero.”
Several of Shanice’s celebrity pals also left supportive comments, with Beyonce’s mother, Ms. Tina, writing, “Gods healing power is all powerful 
You are the bravest most unselfish person for sharing your testimony. !!!! Just said a prayer for you…”
Singer Deborah Cox added, “You are so brave to share this personal story. Sending you love and light Healing and restoration…..God’ is so good.”
R&B artist Stacy Lattisaw wrote, “Adding my faith to yours for your complete healing In the name Jesus Christ!”
