*Beyoncé channels Marilyn Monroe in a new ad for her new whiskey brand SirDavis.
The superstar posted several photos on Instagram from a retro-Hollywood event in Paris celebrating her new alcohol brand, where she donned a platinum blonde wig and wore a plunging Gucci dress with gold platform heels, Page Six reports.
Beyoncé launched SirDavis in partnership with Moët Hennessy, part of the French luxury giant LVMH. In a press release, the brand describes SirDavis as a unique take on whisky with its “bespoke recipe,” unconventional maturation process, and distinctive flavor profile inspired by Japanese and Scottish traditions. The name of the whiskey is a tribute to Bey’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a moonshiner during the Prohibition era, Daily Mail reports.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,’ Beyoncé said in a statement.
“When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy,” she continued.

“In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis,” the songstress said.
Beyoncé is entering the whisky market following her husband Jay-Z’s success in the field. According to Forbes, the whisky industry was instrumental in making Jay-Z, who is featured in the SirDavis ad, a billionaire.
